Etchells World Sailing Championship, Howth Co Dublin
Ingrid beat off all the competition to be appointed the official photographer for the 2010 Etchells World Championships in Howth Co Dublin, Ireland.
Ingrid presented herself fully prepared for all weather and sailing opportunities. She shared a full briefing exchange with organisers, media and sailors. Ingrid went onto produce some of the most fantastic sailing photography. Ingrid is a real professional and a wonderful person. We would retain her services again and again.

Round The World yacht race
Ingrid is wonderful to work with! Whatever the weather, the conditions, she will be out there pushing the boundaries, hanging on in a fast moving chase boat or even hanging out of a helicopter to get you the shots that you need. One of the best sports photographers I have worked with and certainly the most fun!
The Global Ocean Race
Without a doubt, Ingrid is one of the very best marine photographers and her images have become some of the most sought after both digital and in print. Even though Ingrid makes it look easy, there is nothing simple about taking a great sailing picture. Sure the latest long lens cameras can zoom you into the action, but the very best images are taken when you are right there in the thick of the things.
This is where Ingrid excels. She, and her trusty RIB driver, can often be found inches under the windward hull of a catamaran at speed, or furiously making room at the pin-end of a start line as a pile up takes place. You see, a great sailing image is not simply a photograph of a boat about to wipe out; it's more about the look on the helmsman's face as he suddenly realises that he may have taken things a tad too far and they are on the edge of a serious wipe-out. You need to be in close for that, and that's where Ingrid places herself.
Aside from on-the-water action, sailing is about serenity, joy and the freedom that being out in the open ocean gives us. To capture this pure essence you have to have experienced it for yourself and it's clear in an Ingrid Abery image that she gets it. It's not just another tropical setting; it's a moment of escape. It's not a stormy backdrop to a fleet heading for the windward mark; it's the memory of hitting the shift perfectly as the new breeze filled in. These emotions only come from good images and each time you look at one of Ingrid's images, you feel emotion.
So....anyone....anyone who is remotely thinking of working with Ingrid....I can wholeheartedly recommend her. Call me direct if you want an even more glowing report.

Private Client magazine
Ingrid's photographs to illustrate the Solent Experience, for Private Client magazine, were wonderfully atmospheric. Our readers loved them and so we asked Ingrid to pitch some more photo stories
International Rolex regatta
As Director of the International Rolex regatta I leapt at the opportunity to hire Ingrid as the official photographer. We are lucky to have had her. Ingrid is a charm to work with. She is a professional in every sense of the word. She lends world class experience and brings out the finest in colleagues that surround her. Not only is the event enhanced as result of her participation, Ingrid manages to make time to mentor budding young professionals. She delivers more than we have ever bargained for.
